What can I expect?

  • You will be provided with electronic intake forms to read and review prior to your first session.

  • Our first session will focus on getting to know you and understanding your needs. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and identify the challenges you’re facing. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and ensure that you feel comfortable with the therapeutic process.

  • Sessions last 50 minutes unless otherwise specified.

  • Biweekly appointments are most common, but frequency can be adjusted to suit your current needs, whether that is weekly, monthly, or occasional check-ins.

In Person Sessions

Sessions are held in my private home office, thoughtfully designed to prioritize your comfort and confidentiality. Located in Kingston’s West End, the space offers a calm, boutique-style atmosphere, intentionally free from the sterile feel of a traditional clinical setting. From the moment you arrive, my goal is to create a welcoming environment where you feel at ease and supported.

To ensure privacy and professionalism, the office is separate from my living space. Appointment times are spaced out to avoid overlap, and clients wait in their cars upon arrival. At your scheduled time, simply send me a quick text to let me know you’re ready. I’ll greet you at the door and welcome you into an inviting space featuring comfortable seating, natural light, and a soothing ambiance tailored to help you focus and feel at ease.

Virtual Sessions

For those who prefer virtual therapy or cannot attend in person, I also offer secure, online sessions that allow you to receive support from the comfort of your own home. I use Owl Practice, a platform designed specifically for therapy.
